How God is described and mentioned 4 times in our Declaration of Independence
67
The four names that God was given in the document that declared that we no longer considered ourselves to be a part of the British empire are:
· Nature’s God
· Creator
· The Supreme Judge of the World
· Divine Providence
Does this seem to indicate to you that the founders of this young nation intended to operate without the advantages inherent in the wisdom and beneficence of Jehovah?

The American Civil Liberties Union, the US Government, the judicial system and the liberal/progressive theorists who espouse the tenets of the National Education Association would have you to believe that there is no God; and, if it turns out that there really is a Creator, that He should stay out of our daily lives.
The destructive behavior of the groups listed above is leading to the collapse of this once-great nation. We are no longer living in the free-from-an-oppressive-government society envisioned by our forefathers. In fact, we are already way too far along on the path to a Socialist society, one that puts us under the thumb of a centralized national government.
We are already experiencing a takeover of many of our once "inalienable rights."
It is more than possible that the 2010 mid-term elections will result in a “November to Remember.”

Thank you Diamond RN for a great hub. I often wonder how the naysayers can blatantly say as if it was a matter of fact, that God was not revered by the founding fathers or that it has absolutely no place in the Constitution of the U.S.
Thank you for showing the proof and for writing it in such a way as to cause others to think before they speak.
Diamond RN, that was perfectly stated, and I could not agree with you more. Our heritage is being flushed down the toilet by some big mouths, who does not remotely represent the average American. I think a day is coming, when Americans WILL begin to fight back, but I have a feeling it may take another "disaster" to bring us to that point.
Thank you for setting the record straight about the Founding Fathers and the Progressives. Just yesterday I read that President Obama quoted the Declaration but deleted God from it. There you go.
It just shows us all that man is NOT PERFECT and we all need God to guide us. Double minded, sinful nature, etc. Pamela99 comment I liked, and equealla. WE NEED HIM! Very well written Hub!!! I voted-up!
You have to agree, the whole world is currently in a bit of a mess. But I truly believe, that in the end the good morals will be supreme. I just do not know how long it will take.
Evidently, the men who wrote the Declaration of Independence were humble men who did not aspire to be gods.
DiamondRN This is a great hub that I fully agree with and you put forth the prove of our forefather intentions very well. I believe that the Constitution should be adhered to at face value, not that is a living document that can be changed at someone's whim.

Thanks for your sharing.
I wonder what the founding fathers would say if they could come back today and see everything.
There have been so many wrongs, but we are such a great nation; but still I think they would be abhorred by some of our historical episodes such as religion and the original documents.
Evolution verses creation. It seems almost unreal that we evolved. But we must be related at least to some of the lower creatures?
